It's specifically engineered for robust use in column splicing, bridge construction, piling, the integration of protruding dowels in concrete, closure pours, beams, and other demanding splicing scenarios.
The HYD rebar Connect couplers streamline field installation by eliminating the need for bar end preparation, sawing, or swaging. Installation is a breeze, requiring only a standard or impact wrench, depending on the coupler size. The ingenious design ensures that bolt heads shear off upon reaching proper torque, allowing for easy and complete visual inspection, guaranteeing a secure and efficient installation every time.

The RSCS range of couplers offers a superior method for joining reinforcing bars. Ingeniously, the bar ends are supported within the coupler by two serrated saddles. As the lockshear bolts tighten, their conical ends embed securely into the bar, while the serrated saddles grip both the bar and the coupler shell. There's no need for bar end preparation or rotation. Exceeding expectations, the RSCS achieves failure loads surpassing 110% of the characteristic yield strength of grade 500 reinforcing bars.
